He said the myriad of landscapes and experiences available in Rotorua made it a perfect destination for filming the romantic season finale.
"Rotorua is rich with natural wonders; offering cultural, adventure and premium experiences. Whether couples are after romance, stunning scenery or world-class luxury, there's something for everyone."
Destination Rotorua had been working closely with Tourism New Zealand to make major inroads into courting overseas markets. That collaboration ensured Rotorua was top-of-mind when producers were scouting potential destinations for the hugely popular television series.
"Working with the team at Tourism New Zealand in both Australia and domestically is always a great experience," said Destination Rotorua trade manager Patrick Dault.
"Timing for The Bachelorette Australia couldn't be more perfect; right before the busy summer season just as our international visitors are planning their summer getaways.
"The show will feature some of our iconic landscapes and activities and may even reveal to its international audience some of the hidden gems that make Rotorua such a sought after destination."
The Bachelorette's last date will take place in Auckland before her family joins her from Melbourne to support her big decision to choose 'the one' at the final rose ceremony.
Reflecting on her trip, Miss Frost said New Zealand literally took her breath away.
"I absolutely loved it. New Zealand is stunning! I couldn't get over how gorgeous it was. All of the people in New Zealand were so lovely and welcoming and there is still so much more I want to explore."
New Zealand is the only international destination to be showcased in The Bachelorette Australia and the season finale will air in Australia next Thursday.
