Rotorua Daily Post reporter Kyra Dawson is taking part in Dancing with Rotorua Stars next month.

Three weeks to go! This will be my third to last diary folks, we are getting closer and closer and each day the event is becoming more and more daunting.

I keep getting asked if I'm getting nervous . . . are you serious? No way am I not nervous! The tickets have almost completely sold out and there will be about 2000 people watching Flash [my dance partner Brent Park] and I prancing around on stage!

Everyone seems to be feeling it, most couples have been putting in extra practice and working super hard to polish their moves.

We have all started to get our costumes in order and each couple has a different theme.

My favourite part of the outfits is definitely the men's shoes, Paul Hickey has the most amazing shoes and they match his dance partner Tania Tapsell's beautiful red heels.

The stage is going to be in the middle of the Energy Events Centre like an island, meaning the audience will be able to see us from all angles... there's no hiding! Oh dear I hope I don't fall on my face.

Please don't forget we are doing this all for Hospice, a wonderful cause. If you would like to donate click here.
