The landscape of the Redwoods is rapidly changing.
Construction of a new Rotorua tourist attraction is progressing well, with several of the major tree walkways well under way.
The Redwoods Treewalk, the brainchild of German entrepreneur Alex Schmid, will give people the change to see the popular forest from 6m to 12m in the air.
A team of construction workers from Germany have teamed up with local workers to build the 550m long walk which starts and finishes next to the Redwoods Visitor Centre on Long Mile Rd. It is accessed via a spiral staircase 6m high and at the highest point is 12m.
Mr Schmid said work was progressing well and the Treewalk was on target to open next month.
