One of the stalls belonged to the Geyserland Guild of Woodworkers. The guild also had demonstrations going, which many stopped to watch.
Member Dave Page said they attended Art in the Park every year and usually were at the Arts Village markets too.
He said it had always been a well supported event with a lot of stalls and people around.
"It's just a great event and a pity the weather hasn't been favourable this time."
Local woman Leslie Goddard said the event had a nice combination of art and music, to show off local talents.
She said she came back every year to see the local talent and new stalls.
Artist Leigh Aitchison said she found Art in the Park inspiring, giving her a chance to get ideas and talk to others.
Meanwhile the Fairy Picnic also took place in the Government Gardens.
Organiser Kay McGregor said about four fairies, maybe more, along with some "wonderful" adults came along dressed up and brought their picnics.
