Teams will be given the first QR code which will have a challenge and the GPS location to the next QR code, somewhere in Rotorua.
The QR Codes will be somewhere near the GPS location and teams will have to look on, under, over, behind and above to get the next QR code.
"Some of the challenges require creativity, overcoming fears, team work and communication skills.
"It is something different that hasn't been done in Rotorua before. Apart from having fun youth are learning about GPS co-ordinates, utilising technology and working in a team."
There are two race dates, Friday December 15 and Tuesday December 19, 11am, at the Rotorua Youth Centre.
It should take two to three hours to complete every challenge. All teams must have a vehicle and a full licensed driver.
The Rotorua Youth Centre has two vans and drivers available but they are on a first in, first served basis.
Cost is $5 per person or $20 per team of four to six people. There is a cash prize for winners.
