"Through those phone calls, our communities are making it clear that they do not want the scourge of drugs on their doorstep and do not want the people they love exposed to the physical and psychological harm associated with drugs, or the violence and dishonesty offending that is committed to fund these enterprises and addictions."
Of particular concern is the number of children living in homes with parents and caregivers who are openly taking and selling drugs from their homes. It is estimated that there were children at approximately 60 per cent of the addresses targeted during this latest operation.
"This is not acceptable and doesn't bode well for the future of these children who are being exposed to dangerous chemicals and environments. We will continue to work with agencies such as CYFs to ensure the future safety of children," Mr Anderson said.
