Far North roads closed as a result of flooding at 12:30pm today were as follows:

State Highways

Rangiahua Bridge (SH1)

Kaeo (SH10) - only just passable

Mangamuka (SH1) - surface flooding, passable

South of Kerikeri (SH10) - surface flooding, passable

California hill 1km south of Awanui (SH10) - surface flooding, passable

Oruru Road (south-east of Taipa)

Duncan Road (south-east of Kaingaroa)

Mangatoetoe Road (east of Pamapuria, Kaitaia)

Oturu Road (north-east of Kaitaia)

Diggers Valley Road (both ends) (south-west of Pamapuria, Kaitaia)

Ruaroa Road (west of Pamapuria, Kaitaia)

Fairburn Road (east of Kaitaia)

Wells Road (east of Kaitaia)

Pekerau Road (south of Karikari Peninsula)

Far North District Council roads closed as a result of slips at 12:30pm were:

Pekerau Road at rapid number 806 approx (unable to check due to flooding)

Te Rore Road 1.8km up from State Highway 1 (south-east of Kaitaia) (small vehicles passable)

The following roads had limited access at 12:30pm:

Waiotemarama Gorge Road (fallen tree) (east of Opononi)

Oromahoe Road (flooding) (south of Kerikeri)

McIntyre Road, Kawakawa, in between McDonald Road and Whangae Road.
