Pakaraka School is searching for old boys and girls to join its centennial celebrations later this year.
Founded in 1911 on land donated by the Vesey family - whose descendants still attend the school four generations later - the country school has just over 70 pupils at the junction of State
Highways 1 and 10 northwest of Kawakawa.
The celebration will be held at the school on Saturday, November 12, with registrations closing on September 1 but required as soon as possible.
The day's events start with a powhiri at 9.30am, followed by a roll call, socialising, photographs and lunch at Pakaraka Community Hall. Afternoon events include a cake cutting and speeches, winding up with dinner at the Copthorne in Waitangi.
Costs are $30 for the day celebrations and lunch, $75 with dinner and social evening, or $45 for partners attending only the dinner.
