A 16-year-old from Kaitaia has been crowned Miss Far North after a ceremony in Kerikeri.
A new Miss Far North and Little Miss Far North for 2017 were crowned at the Turner Centre on Saturday.
Eight Miss Far North and seven Little Miss Far North hopefuls were under the scrutinyof judges Carleen Still, Charmaine Soljak and Emma Gilbert.
The grand prize of Miss Far North went to Aaliyah Dane, 16, of Kaitaia sponsored by Arbonne Hair and Beauty.
Aaliyah really the won hearts of the judges, also taking out the award for Miss Personality. Miss Far North's runner-up was Sydney Batters, 16, (Kaeo) and second runner-up went to Kristy Buchanan, 15, (Cooper's Beach). Miss Catwalk was Chelsea Karl (Okaihau) and Miss Photogenic Alisha Tahere (Kaikohe).
