Emergency services converged on Kerikeri Grove yesterday.
Police briefly sealed off a cul-de-sac in Kerikeri yesterday after someone called 111 saying a meth pipe had exploded, injuring at least one person.
Police, St John Ambulance, and the Kerikeri Fire Brigade converged on Kerikeri Grove, off Kerikeri Rd, about 1.55pm but found no sign of methamphetamine or injuries.
Once police had entered the house and made sure it was safe they allowed a medic inside and stood down firefighters who had been waiting at a safe point about 500m away.
Sergeant Ross Laurie, of Kerikeri police, said emergency services responding to the call found it was a false alarm.
