Come rain or shine, the Onerahi Lions' fundraiser will walk 20km a day around Whangarei to help buy a specially-fitted vehicle for the family of Kassius Hepi.
Three-year-old Kassius has Pallister-Killian Syndrome, which means he'll never walk or talk, can't take solid foods and often needs help breathing. Onerahi Lionsmember Doug Smith organised the walk of 20km a day for 25 days. The route changes, but walkers leave the Cobham Oval cricket grounds at 9.30am on weekdays, and anyone can join in.
