HOSPICE KAIPARA INC requires a Clincial Leader for our Palliative Care Unit in the Kaipara District

This is a 0.8 FTE position

Fixed term for one year

Office located at Dargaville Hospital, Dargaville, Northland.

Primary functions of the position are to:

• Lead and promote the philosophy of Hospice
• Lead
and be part of a team to manage and deliver a flexible and high quality Palliatve Care service to the Kaipara Community in partnership with clients and their families
• Lead the robust planning for patient care which will involve co-ordinating and working closely with other providers in Kaipara to achieve high quality continuous service delivery, with a view to working towards a 24/7 service
• Ensure efficient management of equipment and resources

We are looking for a registered nurse with community palliative care experience or similar. A recognised postgraduate qualification (or equivalent) in Palliative Care would be an advantage or a commitment to postgraduate study, if necessary. An understanding of, and commitment to, the multidisciplinary team approach to patient care is essential.
