United Civil New Zealand owned and operated Company and are seeking a Diesel Mechanic who doesn't mind getting their hands dirty.

We are seeking a person whom has a passion for ensuring machinery is in a fit and legal state. This role includes but is not limited to:

• Servicing and maintaining our plant - which includes diggers, loaders and trucks.
• Co-ordinating any subcontract work or certification needed in consultation with the Workshop Manager.
• Undertaking preventative maintenance activities as deemed appropriate by the Workshop Manager.

The successful applicant will have:
• A diesel mechanic qualification.
• 7 to 10 years' experience in a Civil/Construction environment.
• A current and clean drivers licence with classes 1, 2, 4 and W, T, R.
• A reasonable level of fitness.
• The ability to cope well under pressure; and to take initiative in helping the Workshop team meet its goals.
• Good problem solving skills with an eye for detail. We expect that the successful candidate will check for all potential problems if a piece of equipment is brought in for servicing.

If you hold other classes of licences in addition to the above, i.e. forklift etc., please state these on your application along with any relevant certificates and training you have. In addition; if you are able to list the types of relevant machinery you are most familiar with in your application, this would be appreciated.
