It may have been the last one taken before a GoPro ended up in the tide and washed ashore on a Whangarei beach.

The camera was discovered over Queens Birthday weekend and the honest finders are keen to find the rightful owner.

"My children managed to clean off the salt and get the memory card out. The camera is currently charging and seems to be a new model."

One of the photos on the memory card was a selfie of two girls in a yellow double kayak.
