The Lindisfarne College Intermediate School B team are
champions of their round-robin division.
In the final of their Hockey Hawke's Bay-organised competition the Lindisfarne side drew 2-all with the Taradale Intermediate boys B team.
The Lindisfarne team has progressed through the season unbeaten. Having scored 82 goals and conceded just eight in 14 games, they were the clear winners of the competition. Their photograph will now be placed in the college "Long Room."
After the final, the boys and their supporters had lunch and a small prizegiving at Breakers in Napier, where their captain, Greg Shirras, presented the team coach, John Boyd, with mementos of their successful season.
For the record, they played 14 games, won 13 and drew 1. Goals For: 82 and Goals Against: 8
