Hastings Police are hunting two men who robbed a Hastings store this morning.

At approximately 9:15am this morning two offenders entered Discount Specialist Tobacco on the corner of Charles Street and Eastbourne Street West, Hastings.

They proceeded to threaten the shop attendant with a knife before taking some cash and stock.

The offenders also took a set of keys belonging to the victim.

They used these keys to flee in the victim's vehicle, a White Toyota Hilux.

A combined effort by Hawke's Bay Police resulted in the victims vehicle being located a short time later abandoned on the outskirts of Hastings, near the Hawke's Bay showgrounds.

The shop attendant has not been injured in the incident but is understandably shaken, Police is working with them to investigate the robbery.

Police are appealing for any information relating to any suspicious activity in and around Charles Street and the Hawke's Bay Show Grounds.
