Classic Hits radio hosts Martin Good and Sarah van der Kley will stay on air long after their regular shift this week.
The two are bedding down in Napier from 9am tomorrow to host a 24-hour Radiothon in support of CanTeen Hawke's Bay.
The Classic Hits 89-5 duo will broadcast live from
their makeshift studio bed at the Maadi Gras site on Marine Parade.
One of them must remain on the bed at all times.
Supporters are invited to come down during the bed-in to make a donation to CanTeen.
Everyone who donates will go in the draw to win a luxury Simmons Beautyrest bedroom package, donated by Bedpost Hastings.
"There's no question that I won't be falling asleep, but I reckon Sarah on the other hand will be snoring before you know it," Martin said. "I have a few pranks up my sleeve to play on her while she's asleep. I've also heard that she sleep-talks, so I'm going to be ready with a microphone so the Bay can listen."
The pair hope to raise $5000 towards the purchase of a Can-Van for CanTeen, which will be used to transport young Hawke's Bay people living with cancer.
Donation points will also be located at Harcourts' offices in Havelock North, Hastings, Taradale and Napier.
Hawke's Bay Today is supporting the Classic Hits CanTeen bed-in with editor Antony Phillips urging readers to get along to Marine Parade and support the cause. "Martin and Sarah are getting between the sheets for a great cause. Let's join the bed party and help keep them awake."
