Ticket sales for next February's Sting at the Mission concert have been "strong" and were expected to get stronger today as general public sales opened just after 9am.
"They have been selling extremely quickly - sales are up there with the best we've had," SEL's media spokeswoman Sandra Roberts said as "concert club" members began snapping them up.
However, she said general admission tickets and a range of packages were still available.
Tickets were selling through Ticketek over the counter at the Municipal Theatre in Napier and online at ticketek.co.nz
The Symphonicity tour had drawn big crowds and glowing reviews during the American leg of Sting's world tour, and SEL management said they were delighted to be able to bring such an internationally powerful act to Hawke's Bay.
"It will be superb," was SEL director James Erskine's take on the concert.
Prices to see Sting range from $110 for a single ticket (plus $8 booking fee) through to $5950 which is for a table for 10, gourmet dinner and drinks, reserved parking and seating.
Tickets are available by phoning 0800 TICKETEK, visiting www.ticketek.co.nz, visiting the Napier Municipal Theatre, or by phoning 06 835 2702.
