The Napier City Council is asking residents for their ideas and thoughts on how they would like to see their city develop over the following decade.
As part of the council's approach to its Long Term Plan for the next 10 years a public consultation phase kicked off yesterday withmembers of the public asked to put their ideas and responses forward.
A special page has been set up on the council's website for people to express ideas or add comments to its Facebook page.
As well, members of the public wanting to have a say about their views on services and facilities going into the future can pick up a Freepost "talk to us" postcard.
They will be available at the main council office reception.
Feedback from public comments will be used as part of the first draft of the council's 2015-2025 Long Term Plan Consultation document which is due to be completed by the end of January.
The formal consultation period will be held over a four-week period next April and May, after which submissions will be considered at planned hearings.
