"The settled run is going to continue throughout this week for Hawke's Bay and a ridge of high pressure which has been over the country for the last couple of weeks is sticking around the North Island this week," Ms Moes said.
She said it will stay mainly dry this week.
"On Thursday it looks as though there's a small chance there could be some morning cloud and showers, but other than that it's a mostly fine-looking week," Moes said.
While this is good news for those wanting to get outside and enjoy the sunshine, the lack of rain doesn't bode well for Napier's water supply.

Residents have been warned their water may run out tonight and a total watering ban has been put in place.
