Luciana Evangelista-Van Lin is such a Simply Red fan she cannot name a favourite song.

The "huge fan" cannot wait to see one of her favourite childhood bands play on Sunday at Mission Estate Winery.

"They were very famous in Brazil - I listened to them when I was growing up, she said.

"I just can't wait."

She moved to Napier five years ago. When asked if she had a favourite song, she said For Your Baby, and then The Air You Breathe, before rattling off a few more and admitting she simply could not choose just one.

The concert is part of "The Big Love" five-city summer New Zealand tour.

Mission Estate chief executive officer Peter Holley said the concert was set to be an intimate event that would "promise to deliver the same bits of fun as expected".

They were still looking for more concerts of a similar size to run throughout the year as well as bigger ones as the current market allowed.

Event manager Garry Craft said sales had been moving along. There were still a few tickets available this week and on the day.

A major drawcard for the event was the ease of parking on site at the event, he said.

The parking would be run by the Rotary Club. The cost is $10 a car, with all proceeds going to child cancer. Tickets for the parking could be bought online ahead of the event and would be available on the day.

Mr Craft advised people wanting to take advantage of the parking to purchase tickets ahead of time to avoid queues.

Nimon coaches would also be running for those who chose not to drive. Schedules could be viewed on the Mission Estate concert website. Parking would be banned on nearby streets for concertgoers.

Mr Craft said that was in fairness to residents in the area.

Anderson Park would not be available for parking this year.

Reduced speeds would be in place as well as a liquor ban on Church Rd.
