A Dannevirke farmer was so outraged by racial graffiti sprayed on the wall of The Warehouse on Miller St that he took to the wall with a spray can himself.
The man, who didn't want to be identified, told the Dannevirke News the graffiti was the worst kind of racial tagging he'd seen. It's undertstood the words included a racist slur aimed at Māori.
"The people who work for me have been great and I see no difference between brown or white residents and this was terrible," he said.
"I was so enraged I went and purchased an aerosol can and went to work on it myself. My reaction was one of revulsion."
However, the paint job took some time.
