They prettied up a toilet by the Woodville bus stop, but now thieves have got away with the two painted plywood panels which had put a new spin on the town's loo with a view.
"Sometime over the past couple of days the two screens, painted by Bettina McCulloch and owned by Woodville, have been dug up and stolen," Robin Winter, chairwoman of Woodville Districts Vision, said.
"I'm sad to say it looks as if some selfish thieving person has dug them up to take away for their own personal use.
"Those paintings were destined to be used elsewhere in Woodville as the toilet had already been taken away because we've new council toilets on the carpark alongside our stunning new iSite.
"We were just planning where to move Bettina's artwork to and - bingo! - they're gone.
