Two Lotto ticketholders from the Bay are in for a windfall and locals are urged to double- check their tickets from Saturday night's draw.
The draw produced two first-division winners of $500,000 each. One was bought at Hastings Pak'n Save. The winner is yet to come forward, but staff member Anna
Toki said her colleagues were busy checking their own tickets.
Another lucky ticket, bought at Tamatea Pak'n Save, held the Winning Wheel Ticket, giving them a chance to spin for a prize on the live show. The serial number was 879-066725122-20xx and if luck proves on their side, could win the ticketholder the maximum $1 million prize.
Lotteries spokeswoman Karen Jones urged those who bought tickets from the winning stores to write their name on the ticket and get it checked at a Lotto outlet. Last weekend the Winning Wheel made its Maungatapu owner Paul Moody $200,000 richer.
