Get ready to see Avatar like never before at Clive's fourth annual drive-in movie on Saturday.
"Our drive-in movies are a great family night out," Clive Community Group chairman Tony Loversuch said.
"People really get into the spirit of the movie with many dressing up and lots coming to have their dinner
beforehand."
This year organisers have decided to donate a portion of money from every ticket sold to the Christchurch earthquake relief fund.
There will also be collectors with buckets making their way around cars on the night.
"Normally all the money we make goes back into the Clive community, but we thought this was just an opportunity to do something to help Christchurch," Mr Loversuch said.
A large screen will be erected in a paddock next to Hohepa in Clive, and cars can tune their radios into a special frequency to hear the movie.
There will be food stalls, coffee and face painting for children.
Gates open at 6.30pm and Avatar will start from 8pm, when it's dark.
Tickets are $25 per car, available from Clive BP and Clive Four Square.
