The Tom Parker Fountain in Napier ran pink today as Napier City Council staff including Michelle Warren, and Karen Molloy (pictured) stood in solidarity to support Pink Shirt Day.
"NCC is proudly taking a stand in support of Pink Shirt Day and the importance of preventing workplace bullying and harassment," Karen Molloy from NCC's people and capability team said.
"We're thrilled to see that our staff, where possible, have gone to great lengths to turn their workplaces and themselves pink.
" We've had pink baking arrive at work, completely pink office spaces, a pink Customer Services counter - even the Tom Parker Fountain has been pinked."
The fountain has been pinked with a diluted red dye typically used for checking water infrastructure for cracks.
