Hawke's Bay Relay for Life 2018 is 'calling all superheroes' to put on their capes and raise money for the Cancer Society next year, with registrations now open.
A launch of the event, which will take place on March 18, was held yesterday at Albert Park.
About 30 people turned up, with a few in their superhero outfits who took part in a flash mob - where everyone posed for photos.
Cancer Society Hawke's Bay manager Trudy Kirk said Relay for Life and Daffodil Day were their two big fundraisers of the year.
"It was great to see the ones who dressed up in superhero costumes. Cancer Society appreciates the efforts people go to fundraise, so we call them our superheroes."
