The weather for the next week is looking mostly dry and settled across the country.
Metservice Meteorologist, Stephen Glassey said it was "thanks to a ridge of high pressure that moved onto the country on Monday and is expected to stick around into next week."
"Although it should be mainly dry around the country, isolated showers are still likely in some places, mainly due to afternoon heating in inland areas," said MetService meteorologist Stephen Glassey.
"A low developing to the north of New Zealand may also bring some rain to the top of the North Island this coming weekend. However, this low should struggle to have much impact on the rest of New Zealand, as it is quickly pushed away to the east by the prevailing high."
"November typically brings quite changeable weather so a long, settled spell like this is a little bit unusual for this time of year," Mr Glassey said.
