A third classic WWII fighter is set to join the colourful squadron for the Tremains Art Deco Festival which kicks off in a fortnight.
The Napier Aero Club had secured a P51 Mustang and a Spitfire and have confirmed that they will now be joined by an American P40N Kittyhawk, which like the other fighters has a dual seat and will be available to take people for a special ride over the city.
The Kittyhawk was last here three years ago as part of the Hawke's Bay Airport's 50th anniversary celebrations and will add to what a club spokesman said was an impressive line-up.
Also returning after a five-year break is the PBY Catalina flying boat.
Several DH Tiger Moths from around the country and a NZ Tiger Cub will also be in the air, with the NZ Warbirds' Harvards and one of RNZAF's new trainers, the T-6c Texan.
