A collaborative lunch with a team of award-winning chefs marked the launch of Trinity Hill's new Gimblett Gravels range at the weekend.
Saturday's Trinity Hill Garden Party saw 75 people, including Napier Mayor Bill Dalton, converge at the winery for a three-course meal cooked by owner of Auckland restaurants Baduzzi and The Grove, Michael Dearth, and The Grove head chef and My Kitchen Rules New Zealand judge Ben Bayly.
Trinity Hill Ltd sales and marketing associate Janine Bevege said the inaugural event coincided with the launch of the winery's new Gimblett Gravels 2013 release. Guests tried the range of five wines at tasting stations on arrival, while winery staff acted as servers.
The team from Baduzzi and The Grove first visited Trinity Hill during last year's Winter F.A.W.C.! for a lunch event to celebrate the winery's 2013 Montepulciano release.
"We're hoping they're going to come back down and we'll carry it on each year."
