Sixty bronzed, buff bodies strutted their stuff on stage during the NABBA Hawke's Bay Body Building Championships in Taradale on Saturday.
Andrew Murray said it was the largest turnout he had seen in five years of organising the event, with people coming from all over to compete.
"We had 18 from the Hawke's Bay area, quite a few from Palmerston North, a group of 10 from Gisborne, some from Wellington, three from Auckland, some from Whakatane and Hamilton. There was also a large audience turnout, which was great to see."
Judges handed out four major awards: the Mr HB Athletic title, Mr HB Physique title, Miss HB Physique title and Miss HB Athletic Figure title.
Overall they were looking for shape, symmetry, size and definition.
