Napier Police are appealing for information about a graffiti attack on a central city wall during the weekend.
The wall, beside Bayleys Real Estate in Tennyson St, had been clear on Friday night but the graffiti, in dark olive green and light blue, was spotted early Sunday morning.
"It is a constant scourge," a police spokesman said.
Police took note of some words and images as certain phrases could betray the "artist".
Along the 30m stretch were words like 'mantis', 'fht', 'I rep west side' and 'I'm not human'.
There was also minor tagging on the actual Bayleys carpark building and around the corner on Cathedral Lane.
"We want to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in that area during the weekend," the spokesman said.
The incident happened within two days of a Napier District Court judge convicting a 20-year-old man for multiple tagging offences - remanding him on bail so he could put things in order before finding out if he will be sent to prison next month.
