TAIRAWHITI'S sporting community will be out in force on Friday night for the 2017 Logans Sporting Excellence Awards.

The awards are being held on Friday (SUBS: Nov 10 ) at the Showgrounds Event Centre and will celebrate our community’s finest sporting achievements over the past 12 months.

“There are a limited number of tickets left for sale, so athletes, coaches, volunteers, and their family and friends need to get in quick to ensure they don’t miss this really fun night out together,” Sport Gisborne Tairawhiti event advisor Debbie Hutchings said.

The awards ceremony includes 44 finalists across 14 categories. For many, this is an opportunity to bring sporting clubs or community together for a fun night out. Others will attend to support their friends, whanau and teammates who have been nominated for an award.

Guests at the awards will enjoy drinks, a buffet dinner with dessert platters, live entertainment and celebrity master of ceremony Neil Waka.
