Larina Dolman continued her great form from previous years when she competed at the Northern Hawke’s Bay Pop-up Show.
With Kiwi Lansing, she was third in the horse 1.20m and won the Pro Am Series class. Riding The Boss, who is owned by Fraser and Warwick Tombleson, she was first-equal in the five-year-old series class.
Jenny Randall and Nero Bello were placed second in the amateur rider class, while Lidy Loffler and Tokiano were first-equal in the horse 1m and had two first-equal placings in the horse 90cm.
A large contingent of Gisborne riders competed at the Bay of Plenty Show Hunter Spring Championships.
Ella Rouse and Ruby Tunes had a fantastic show, winning four classes and placing second in three more.
The highlight was her victory in the 12-years-and-under equitation series class.
Georgie Coop and Billy the Kid won the medal equitation class and picked up a handful of other placings.
Coop and Barney Rubble — owned by Henry and Sofie Gaddum — won the 70cm show hunter and picked up other placings.
Maisey Alexander and Showtym Mamma Mia won the Category C Pony Championship and the pony equitation 80cm. They also picked up many other placings.
Molly McEwan had a terrific couple of days with her two ponies. With Buffalo Man — owned by Karen Bevitt — she won four classes in the Category A section and was placed in five more classes. With Galaxy Firefly, she had one win and was placed in five more classes.
