ELSA, Anna and Kristoff from the movie Frozen could make an appearance in Gisborne tomorrow. The characters many young movie-goers adore are expected to be cruising among the masses during the region’s annual Christmas Parade.
The theme this year is Magical Winter Wonderland, although with a 26-degree day forecast, there
is no word on whether Olaf the snowman from Frozen will attend.
Heart of Gisborne event and marketing manager Lana Davy says 28 floats are ready to go.
“We have a huge variety this year — from animals, schools, and preschools to sports groups and community groups. It is a really cool theme this year.”
Last year more than 5000 people poured on to Gladstone Road to watch the procession. This year Heart of Gisborne is hoping for more.
