Parents picking up or dropping off children at schools in and around Tauranga are being warned to behave or receive a fine.
Today police launched a crack down on dodgy driving outside schools.
Western Bay of Plenty head of road policing Senior Sergeant Ian Campion said people needed to know
that if they were driving over 4km/h over the speed limit, they could expect to be ticketed.
The crack down is part of a back to school monitoring campaign where police will target speeding drivers, parking on yellow lines and other illegal or inconsiderate parking.
Today police stationed themselves outside Tauranga Primary School, Bethlehem Primary School, Tauriko Primary School, Mount Maunganui Primary School and Papamoa Primary School.
