Tauranga police are seeking sightings of a red Mazda MPV to help an investigation into a serious assault on a woman last Thursday.
She jumped out of the Mazda, registration GWJ482, shortly after 2pm on April 12. It happened on Te Puke's main street at the corner of Oxford St.
A police media spokesperson said the woman jumped out after she was allegedly assaulted.
''We are seeking sightings of this vehicle in relation to a serious assault,'' Detective Carolyn Crawford said.
She also wants to hear from anyone who saw the woman jump out of the vehicle and run towards The Florist Shop on Jellicoe St.
