Police have arrested three men in relation to an armed robbery of Lucky 7 Superette last week.

The shop on Maungatapu Rd was robbed by two men, one allegedly armed with a pistol, last Wednesday at 6.40pm.

Two men, aged 18 and 19, have been charged with aggravated robbery. One was in court today and the other would appear on May 9.

A 16-year-old has also been charged with aggravated robbery and would appear in Youth Court on May 9.

Police also found the pistol allegedly used in the robbery.

Detective Sergeant Craig Rawlinson wanted to thank the Tauranga public for its "invaluable help".
