Placings switched between rounds, but Omanu School took out the top spot with an impressive score of 37 out of 40.
"The quiz was a great opportunity for those students who love to read to participate in an exciting, competitive environment where their passion is celebrated," said Te Akau ki Papamoa Primary School teacher Michelle Wills.
"It was a once and a lifetime experience and we loved being able to work as a team," said an Arataki Primary School pupil.
"It was great to do something different for our school and put our reading skills to the test."
Following the quiz, there was a prize giving and a celebration morning tea to thank all of the participants for their hard work preparing for the quiz.
