A man is recovering in Tauranga Hospital this morning after his arm was crushed between two metal rollers.

The 39-year-old man was working at a Birch Ave property late last night when he became hurt.

St John ambulance team manager Gary Bishell said they were called to the man's aid about 11.30pm.

The man was taken to Tauranga Hospital with a moderate injury to his arm.
