Police have today released the name of the man killed in a head on collision on State Highway 33 at Paengaroa.
Te Puke local Ian Barton Foote, 47, died at the scene when the Honda car he was travelling north in was in collision with a south bound Volvo at
10.12am yesterday.

The driver of the Volvo, believed to be in his 30s, was taken to Tauranga Hospital with moderate to serious injuries.
Senior Sergeant Phil Gillbanks said police were still assessing evidence at the scene near Patridge Lane and information provided by witnesses.
