Tauranga City Council is investigating the future of Aspen Reserve and is seeking input into the look and feel of the park.

The redevelopment of this inner city park is part of the Heart of the City programme. The council adopted the Heart of the City programme in December 2016.
Improving the look and feel of city centre streets and parks is part of the council's approach to creating a vibrant, safe and successful city centre.

To make it easy for the community to provide feedback about the future of this space, the council is hosting two open days at Aspen Reserve (opposite old Post Office building on the corner of Mc Lean and Willow St).

The council is encourageing people to chat to council staff over free coffee and cake to find out how people use Aspen Reserve at the moment and if not, why not. It also wants to find out how people would like to use the reserve in the future.

The Aspen Reserve Open Days are:
Thursday, February 9 from 11.30am to 1.30pm
Friday, February 10 from 11.30am to 1.30pm
