Eight local opportunity shops will come together this Saturday to bring their wares to life on the catwalk.
Twenty-six men, women and children will model an array of donated clothing as part of the Bible Society's second annual op-shop fashion parade.
St James, Centrepoint, Waipuna Hospice, Pregnancy Choice, Lifezone, StStephen's, St Columba and The Salvation Army will all have ensembles modelled, which will then be available for purchase at normal ticket prices.
The evening will be hosted by local theatre legends Christine Giddens and Heather Graham.
Admission is a baked item (wrapped in cling film), which will be auctioned off, or by a cash donation. Proceeds from the evening will support the work of Bible Society.
? The op-shop fashion parade is at the Salvation Army complex on the corner of Cameron Road and 5th Avenue on Saturday, April 16, at 7.30pm. For more information, phone John Burns on 578 9161 or 027 339 6730.
