A Bethlehem woman had a lucky escape from a fire that pooled in her driveway after her car's fuel tank melted this morning.
Tauranga firefighters responded to the Rothesay Lane fire at 10.20am.
The woman was alerted to the fire by her car alarm and called 111.
The car fire occurred in her driveway and the flames threatened her home, but the house did not suffer major damage.
