Local architectural designer Richard Hale has just added another accolade to his list of accomplishments after taking out a top design award.
Mr Hale, a co-director of Insight Architecture, was named one of two top Bay of Plenty designers at the regional ceremony for the ADNZ Resene Architectural Design Awards.
Mr Hale's winning entry was in the Residential New Home between 150sq m and 300sq m category, sponsored by Gerard Roofs.
His winning design was a four-bedroom, three-level beach haven in Papamoa Beach Rd, which was built by Phil Mouldey of Wave Construction, who also owns and lives in the property.
Mr Hale also won a highly commended in the 300sq m category in the Waikato regional awards. "It certainly makes up for all those late nights and I'm delighted for Mr Mouldey as well," he said.
