A Tauranga woman caught drink-driving has lost her manager's certificate allowing her to run a bar.
Marion Karetiana Munro was deemed to be "not a suitable person" to hold a general manager's certificate under the Sale of Liquor Act and had it suspended for 30 days.
Tauranga police Sergeant Nigel
McGlone said police opposed Ms Munro's renewal of her licence, enabling her to sell alcohol.
On Sunday, November 21, 2010, Ms Munro was processed for drink driving in Rotorua. She registered an excess level of 807 micrograms of alcohol per litre of breath, more than twice the legal limit.
In December 2010, Ms Munro was convicted in the Rotorua District Court, fined $1200 and disqualified from driving for seven months.
