Tauranga Hospital's paediatric ward has received a $76,000 cash boost through the Fresh Futures programme run by supermarket company Progressive Enterprises.
Progressive area manager Keith Whiteman was at the ward on Friday to present the cheque to Bay of Plenty District Health Board chief executive Phil Cammish and paediatrician Dr Hugh
Lees.
The money will go toward new equipment for the ward that has been on a wishlist for the health board.
Mr Whiteman also presented hundreds of hand-knitted baby items for the neo-natal unit made by staff and customers and some toys for children in hospital.
