Man dragged by train in NSW

A man who was sitting on a NSW train platform with his legs dangling over the edge has been hit and dragged along by a train.

Police are investigating the 1.30am (local time) incident at Coledale station, north of Wollongong, in which the 24-year-old suffered severe head and chest injuries.

He was airlifted to St George Hospital where he is in a critical condition.
