A Whanganui woman who stole more than $1000 worth of squash gear got caught after she traded the items in at Cash Converters, receiving $95.
Saphire Chase Ngahina Metekingi pleaded guilty to receiving property between $500 and $1000, when she appeared in the Whanganui District Court on Tuesday.
Police prosecutor Sergeant David Grey said on October 22, 2016, Metekingi stole a number of items, including rackets and sports clothing, from the Wanganui Squash Club.
"The total value of the items stolen was $1300."
Mr Grey said on February 2, 2017 Metekingi went into Cash Converters and received $95 for the rackets.
