The 2017 Whanganui Literary Festival programme will be unveiled next Saturday.
The Whanganui Literary Festival Trust invite friends and supporters of the literary festival to join them for the launch at the Community Arts Centre in Taupo Quay at 2pm on Saturday, July 29.
The 2017 brochure, with cover design by local artist Aaron Potaka, will be distributed and trust chairwoman Gillian Tasker will talk about the programme and the story behind the cover design.
The line-up of authors coming to Whanganui for the festival which starts on September 30 includes CK Stead, recent Ockham NZ Book award winner Adam Dudding, and other well-known authors such as Fiona Farrell, playwright Roger Hall, and chef and cookbook writer Jo Seagar.
Also on the programme are performance poet Dr Selina Tusitala Marsh, musician and memoir writer Nick Bollinger, graphic novelist Sarah Laing and local writers Chris Moisa and Terry Sarten.
